Built by Burt Reynolds in 1978 as a dinner theatre, the newly renovated Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened to great fanfare on February 29, 2004. Major changes to the original space included: a 14 foot increase in the ceiling height; the installation of air ducts strategically placed beneath the seats; a stage extension, and a new state-of-the-art audio/video and lighting system.
